Bamboo and especially bamboo oasis gardens are the core of what we do.
Oasis gardens are more than a bamboo planting (like a bamboo hedge) and comprise of potentially many different types of elements. We offer those elements and services as part of oasis garden installations, as add-ons to simpler projects, and if our schedule permits, as separate work that we provide. An example stand-alone project might be a water feature or a stone patio.

Bamboo Oasis Gardens
The most amazing experiences happen in a true bamboo oasis garden. Imagine guests stepping out onto your patio and momets later, noticing you have a koi pond with beautiful bamboo, ferns, and gorgeous flowers. As they walk over and see the shimmering colored swimmers, they faintly hear a waterfall in the distance. You guide them down a meandering pathway along your babbling stream, past varietal bamboo and other plants, past strategically placed sculpture. Around the bend the sound and sight of your amazing waterfall becomes clear. When they arrive there they find a secluded natural seating area where you share tea or perhaps champagne.
That’s magic of a bamboo oasis garden.
Bamboo Hedge
There are different shrubs that you can utilize to provide privacy and break-up the lines of your yard visually, but only bamboo can add both an exotic flair and lots of practicality.
Evergreens are slow growers and typically leave gaps between bushes. Privets, laurels, hollies, etc. are all nice hedges, but are comparably slow to mature, are commonly seen everywhere, can’t achieve the same heights as bamboo, and need ongoing maintenance.
A bamboo hedge provides a selection of heights, a selection of colors, a fast growing habit (running bamboo), and little maintenance.
Ground Covering Bamboo
Yes, there are very low growing bamboo varieties that act as ground covering plants—that is, exotic ground covering plants.
No need to copy the neighbors with sedum, pachysandra, creeping juniper, lamb’s ear, ivy, or every other species you see at most other houses and commercial buildings. Ground covering bamboo will form a very dense carpet, hiding soil and mulch and blocking weeds. It works beautifully to compliment tall bamboo and other plants.
In fact, sometimes it can be trimmed to a very low height just like common ground cover species.
Specimen Plants
Bamboo is wonderful but it really stands out when other plants—especially flowering plants are blended into their garden area. Conversely, the bamboo acts as a gorgeous backdrop to show off carefully chosen flora specimens.
No matter if you choose unusual and rare plants or plants you know. When carefully mixed and matched with the colors, leaves, and statuesque qualities of bamboo, they can work spectacularly together, in ways no other combinations can. You can choose a single specimen as a focal point or planting of vibrant colors, shapes, leaf types, and sizes to create a living easel that no gaze can resist.
Trees can be specimens or focal points too and we plant them.
Stone Pathways, Steps, and Retaining Walls
A pathway creates extra drama that upscales your gardens and yard and creates a visual cue for visitors to explore and follow. The path can be very informal like what you would see leading to an old cottage in the woods or formal with matching stones and carefully sized and uniform placement. Natural stone is the most beautiful and allows for almost any design your mind can imagine. Pavers are also an option.
Steps and retaining walls, either leading from your house or patio down to a pathway continue the style, add function, and more visual appeal. A few steps within the pathway where your property has slope are so much more intriguing than a sloped path alone.
Patios and Outdoor Kitchens
One of the best ways to enjoy your bamboo is while relaxing comfortably on a stunning patio. The bamboo creates a visual focal point and privacy so that you can relax or gather with family and friends and enjoy the peacefulness of your outdoor refuge.
Small, large, single or multilevel, natural stone, pavers, or teak wood—the patio possibilities are endless. You can even combine say teak and stone for a truly upscale experience. Plus, a gorgeous patio adds value to your property.
The next level is to add an outdoor kitchen which makes entertaining comfortable and elegant. Guests love to gather in a kitchen area while the host is preparing a meal. Doing so outdoors doubles the fun.
You can choose to have a stone barbecue, a pizza oven, or a full fledged kitchen with counters, a wine fridge, mini food fridge, and more. Outdoors doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice convenience.
